What Christmas Really Means....

I can always count on my kids to teach me a lesson when I really need one. They are the greatest teachers actually. They are so honest and sweet and innocent that even the hardest lessons can be said in a manner that makes you smile and give them a hug. Example...Mom your butt is really huge. Yes, that's happened.

I've lost a bit of my Christmas spirit the last few days. It's getting close and the stress starts to catch up. Finding those last minute things. Having time to make homemade rolls instead of buying them. Wondering if your gifts that you thought were so thoughtful will be seen that way or just thrown aside. You know, dumb stuff. But stuff that makes you worry just the same.

Anyway...I was done with Christmas. I just wanted it to be over. And then Mads handed me this...

That's right. An ugly plastic baby laying in a pink play doh manger. She gets it. She knows what Christmas is supposed to mean. And she isn't going to care if I got the right kind of zoobles or squinkies. She's just going to love that it's Christmas morning. I can't wait for it to get here so I can spend it with the ones that I love so much.
